Hyperactivity, depression and inattention are hinted at by loud, persistent snoring

A research recently conducted by specialists working with the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center argues that parents whose children tend to snore quite loudly and on a regular basis need look into the possibility of their having some behavioral problems.

Thus, it is suggested that issues such as hyperactivity, depression and inattention can manifest themselves through snoring.

To put it bluntly: after inquiring with respect to the sleeping behavior of 249 children, the specialists found that those snoring once or twice a week, both at the age of 2 and at the age of 3, also displayed more issues behavior-wise than those who did not snore.

Interestingly enough, it seems that cases of snoring which can be traced back to behavioral problems were most common amongst children coming from families with lower incomes, and amongst children whose mothers stopped breastfeeding them earlier than typically recommended.
