No longer on speaking terms: Cheryl Cole stole Cher Lloyd’s song, says report

The feud is officially on: while Cheryl Cole and Cher Lloyed seemed to be on very good terms during the latest season of X Factor, they are no longer on speaking terms. In fact, Cheryl “stole” one of Cher’s songs with plans to include it on her own album, a new report suggests.

Cheryl was Cher’s mentor during her time on the show but, once it ended, the two were never seen together again.

The aspiring teenage singer even dropped a few hints that Cheryl simply forgot about her in her desperate attempt to conquer America, despite promises made on the show both on and off camera.

A new chapter in the drama was just opened, XFactor.TellyMix reports. Cher recorded a duet with Will.i.am, which was supposed to be on her debut album.

Apparently, after Cheryl was so humiliatingly dumped from the US version of the show after just 4 days, Will.i.am refused to let Simon Cowell’s label SyCo have the song, as a sign of solidarity with Cheryl.

Now, going behind everybody’s back, Cheryl took the song, recorded a different version and claimed it as her own, says the report.

“Cheryl loved the song from the start and didn’t think twice about recording a version after she was sure it would not be appearing on Cher’s album,” a source who claims to be well in the know says for the aforementioned e-zine.

“There is no love lost between the two so she couldn’t care less what anyone has to say about her being offered the song,” adds the spy.

“It’s a great track, so much so that it is being considered as the lead single from Cheryl’s third album,” the insider notes.

Nevertheless, that doesn’t change the fact that she took what was supposed to be Cher’s song and didn’t even care how she might feel about it.

The younger singer, on the other hand, is playing it cool, telling the British press earlier this week that she really couldn’t be bothered about the missing duet.

“Do you know what? I don’t know the full details about that unfortunately. And do you know what? I’m not even that fussed about it, and I’m not afraid to say I’m not fussed about it,” she is quoted as saying.
