It took the rappers from Wu-Tang Clan 6 years to complete work on their one-of-a-kind album “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin” but, with the release date looming, it turns out they’re not yet done surprising us: a rep for singer Cher confirms for Rolling Stone that her vocals will be present on it.

Two different tracks will feature vocals from the famous singer, but, the rep says, she never actually met the rappers. Still, talk about a surprise collaboration!

“[Cher] recorded her parts separately, so I don’t believe there was direct interaction,” says a rep for the diva.

Fans got a first hint that she might be featured on the album when editors from Forbes magazine got to listen to a 50+-second sample from the record and they thought they’d heard Cher singing “Wu-Tang, baby, they rock the world!” right at the end.

A certain Bonnie Jo Mason was listed in the official credits for the album, which further fueled speculation that Cher was a part of the project but the most impressive efforts were being made to keep it a secret.

“Once Upon a Time in Shaolin” will be released on just one physical copy, which will travel the world before going up for auction and finding a place in the home of the highest bidder.
