Now that she’s moved on and she’s happy with hotelier Andre Balazs, Chelsea Handler is finally ready to admit to one of the worst kept secrets in showbiz: she dated rapper 50 Cent but things didn’t work out between them.

Handler is now promoting her latest book, “Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me,” and, as part of the promo tour, she also made an appearance on Piers Morgan.

Among the topics up for discussion was her rumored romance with Fiddy, as the video below will confirm. Somewhat surprisingly, Handler is now admitting to it, despite saying at the time they were just friends.

“We dated, very casually,” Handler says.

As some of you may remember, when word got out that she was dating Fiddy, she initially denied it, saying that they were working together on a new project, and later adding that they were good “friends.”

Now, Chelsea would like the world to know that they got the rapper all wrong: he’s not what he appears to be but quite the opposite of that.

“He’s a very sweet, nice guy. I was sampling, kind of, the atmosphere, seeing what was out there, and I was satiated,” she says of how they came to be an item, even briefly.

“He’s a great guy... he’s the complete antithesis of what you’d imagine. He’s a sweetheart, he’s sweet, he’s great, he’s funny, he has a great sense of humor,” she adds.

As for reports that, after she broke up with him, she started returning all the gifts he was sending her with a note saying that she could afford to buy her own stuff, Handler reveals things didn’t really happened that way.

“I really don’t like gifts from rappers in general,” she says.

“I don’t really like when men buy me ridiculous gifts, especially when I don’t know them well. And I CAN buy my own gifts,” Handler adds.

For the past 4 months, the comedienne has been dating Andre Balazs, the hotelier who was once romancing actress Uma Thurman.
