Alas, it wasn't made all at once, since that's still impossible

Perhaps at some point in the future, 3D printing technology will come far enough that it will be able to churn out item after item without having to print each individual part.

Thus, things like the OpenReflex SLR camera could be made in minutes, and just by clicking on “print” after selecting the 3D virtual project.

For now, though, we'll settle for individual printing. It is, after all, sufficient to make the OpenReflex, so we can't really complain.

Leo Marius is the one that published the design for it on Instructables.

The camera accepts 35mm standard film and works with any lens. Photographers can even modify the plans if they wish. Film isn't included though, as that's something that is still beyond 3D printing. The combination of substrate and reactive chemicals cannot just be drawn from nothing, yet.
