This year, 3D Systems rolled out the ChefJet series of 3D printers, which will help you turn tasty recipes into beautiful dishes.

The two first printers pertaining to the family are the monochrome, countertop ChefJet 3D printer and the full-color larger ChefJet Pro 3D printer. And while they are expected to ship out to customers later this year, the team over at 3D Systems is having some sugary fun.

ChefJet printable materials include chocolate, vanilla, mint, sour apple, cherry and watermelon, but today I’m here to share with you a gallery of amazing 3D printed sugar cubes.

The gallery includes gorgeous designs which you might be reluctant to melt in a cup of hot coffee or tea. The skull-shaped one certainly stands out, but there are some really awesome colored ones and some cubes that were printed to look like polymers.

Surely, the ChefJet printers don’t come cheap, but they won’t put you out of business permanently either. The monochrome ChefJet will sell for a sub $5,000 / €3,667 price tag while the colorful counterpart doubles that rate.

Anyway, ChefJets will probably end up being adopted by folks activating in food industry who want to make an artsy statement with their gourmet offerings.
