This year has been good for 3D printers and 3D printing services, so it's also been good for 3D printing projects too, and some of them are really awesome, or cute and cuddly, or uncanny or weird, whatever you want to call them.

The one I'm about to cover is, one might say, all those things. Well, maybe not cuddly, but there are definitely enough people in the world for all the other epithets: 3D printed dice.

You have everything from the standard six-sided type to the ones with many, many more, used in pen & paper games like Dungeons and Dragons and Magic The Gathering.

Shapeways is the company that made them, and it offers gear-themed ones, steampunk dice, models jagged like spiny, dead vines, models shaped like flowers, etc.
