Indian OEM iBall has just released another entry-level smartphone in India, the Andi 4-B2. The device has been quietly introduced and is now available for purchase via multiple online retailers across the country.

There’s nothing impressive about the Andi 4-B2, not even its name. The phone’s main selling point is the very low price. According to AndroidOS, iBall will sell the Andi 4-B2 for just Rs 4,499 outright, which is about $73 or €54.

That’s a very low price and those who are looking for a cheap handset may find the iBall Andi 4-B2 a worthy alternative to more expansive mid-range smartphones.

Another strong point of the handset might be the fact that it comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box, which is not that old for a cheap handset such as the Andi 4-B2.

Obviously, iBall will never offer an upgrade for this entry-level smartphone, so keep that in mind before making your purchase.

Apart from the not so old Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software, iBall Andi 4-B2 comes pre-loaded with lots of popular apps and services, including WhatsApp Messenger, WeChat and Facebook. It also allows users to take advantage of various tweaks such as flip to mute and auto call recording.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a dual-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz (Cortex-A7), probably provided by MediaTek. In addition, the Andi 4-B2 packs 512MB of RAM and 2GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

iBall Andi 4-B2 sports a decent 4-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and a 3.2-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and video recording. A secondary VGA front-facing camera is included as well.

Other highlights of the phone include 2G and Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS, FM Radio, as well as 1400 mAh battery.
