YouTube is based on user-generated content and you know it better because I bet you have already uploaded a clip on Google's product. Because this fact was also confirmed by the Mountain View firm, the hardware producers from all over the world tried to adapt their business according to the YouTubers' needs. That's why Pure Digital built a cheap recorder that is designed to fit in your pocket and is able to record up to 30 minutes of video content. The product, codenamed Flip Video, will be released on Tuesday and will be available on numerous online shops. According to CNN Money, the camcorder is especially designed for older customers because they are able to record and upload clips on YouTube with ease.

Pure Digital aims to release two versions of Flip Video: one device that is able to record up to 30 minutes of video and available for $119 while the other product, capable of recording 60 minutes will be valued at $149. The new device comes with an USB port so it will be extremely easy to connect and download its content.

"There is so much pent-up demand for capturing and sharing video. But the challenge is that there is no great, easy way to get video up on YouTube. The user-generated content mainly comes from Webcams, cell phones and digital still cameras. There is no simple, affordable device to capture video so we decided to address that," Jonathan Kaplan, CEO of San Francisco-based Pure Digital, sustained for the same source.

Some time ago, it was reported that YouTube managed to boost the profits of numerous online shops that were selling webcams to all their customers. According to these companies, the Google product attracts a considerable number of users to create and upload their homemade content.
