A new survey scam is actively spreading on Facebook and tricks users with a video about a father and daughter allegedly meeting on Chatroulette.

"OMG! Looks What Happens When DAUGHTER and FATHER Meet on CHAT ROULETTE!!," the spam message sent from affected accounts, reads.

Chatroulette is a popular webcam chat service that pairs users randomly in conversations.

It is notorious for containing indecent material, because of users (predominantely male ones) who commonly violate the terms of use to broadcast nudity.

This aspect of the site is what scammers hope to make their promised video intriguing. The advertised link is called "OMG How Embarrassing for Father and Daughter."

Users opening it will be taken to an external page claiming that "This Is Disgusting! You Wont Believe What Happens!" and displaying a "Click Here" button.

An image depicting two girls in shock and fake user comments are also shown in order to raise the credibility of the claim.

Clicking the button prompts a permissions request from a rogue Facebook app called "Did you just see that?," which wants access to post on people's walls.

This application is the propagation mechanism of the scam and will cause users who install it to unknowingly spam their friends and family members.

The end game is to convince users to participate in deceptive surveys, which try to trick them into subscribing to premium rate services billed to their mobile phones.

At the end, a screenshot of a half-naked man and a disgusted girl, found on Google Images when searching for "chatroulette," is displayed.

If you've been affected by this scam, go to Account > Privacy Settings > Applications and Websites and uninstall the rogue app.

Also, in order to avoid other people from being tricked, don't forget to clean up your wall of all messages posted without your knowledge.
