14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this week, word got out that Charlize Theron had adopted a baby boy named Jackson, a report confirmed by her publicist. During a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, the star herself confirmed the happy news.
Charlize, who has never ruled out the possibility of having children even though she made it clear marriage wasn't a priority for her, has kicked off the promo tour for her latest film, “Snow White and the Huntsman.”
She plays the Evil Queen in it and, while it won't be out for another while, she dropped by Ryan Seacrest (not in person, though) to talk about it.
Since the adoption news was so fresh, she must have expected a question or two about it. Check out the video below to hear what she had to say about her son.
Jackson is 4 months old, she says, and he's already changed her life in a very significant way, as was to be expected.
She might still be new at the whole mommy thing, but Charlize knows she has all the time in the world to become perfect at it.
“It’s been amazing, the amount of emails and congratulations. Everyone’s just been so lovely, so it’s been really nice,” she says.
Charlize is also getting used to travel with an entourage now or, as she puts it, “I travel in packs now.”
At the same time, she's also discovered a “gadget” that both she and Jackson love.
“I didn't think I would be a fan of swaddling, but swaddling is pretty amazing. It looks a little bit like a straight jacket and you feel like it is child abuse but for some reason they love it,” she says laughing.
Charlize Theron is yet to show the world pictures of her son and, knowing her, chances are she might still be another while until she does.
