Show is now 2.0, will be more fun to watch but also darker

Charlie Sheen and Selma Blair parted ways on not-so-friendly terms this summer, when he fired her from “Anger Management.” For the first time ever, Sheen talked about the departure on Jay Leno, as the video embedded below can confirm.

Sheen and Blair had a major falling out after she went to the media to complain about his work ethic. In response, he let her go in an obscenity-laden text message.

But this is how he explains why her character, his on-screen love interest, was written out:

“Selma Blair was written out because [the show] was not about our relationship, and the problem was too many people were still excited about the ‘Two and a Half [Men]’ character and thought the ‘Anger Management’ character was a little dull.”

Charlie continues smiling that “this is not the case anymore,” and promises that, after Blair’s departure, the show will be more “fun to watch and hella fun to play.”

Because of the changes made, he dubs the show the 2.0 version.
