It was more of a “melt-forward” than a meltdown, but he regrets it

Charlie Sheen has kicked off the promo trail for the new season of “Anger Management” and his brand new movie, “A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III,” with an appearance on David Letterman.

You can see a few good minutes of it in the video above, albeit it’s not of the best quality possible.

Among other things, Sheen admits that he’d love to be on the finale of “Two and a Half Men” even if his character was killed off, talks about Angus T. Jones and Jon Cryer, and offers an “explanation” for his infamous meltdown.

It was more of a “melt-forward,” he says laughing.

Sheen denies the whole thing had anything to do with drug or alcohol abuse.

“Here's the confusing part. I wish it was crack cocaine. I wish it was an ocean of vodka, a bathtub full of pills. It was just my brain was kind of separated into itself. I just had to take a stand for what I know was right,” he says in a part of the interview that isn’t included in the video above.

Whichever the case back then, Sheen is still a funny and a bit unhinged man to interview. Enjoy!
