Actor was admitted for severe food poisoning, alleged OD

Earlier this week, actor and ever-winning warlock Charlie Sheen was rushed to the hospital for what his publicist described as a very serious case of food poisoning, presumably from a clam dish he’d had earlier that evening.

The Internet, of course, assumed that he’d OD-ed on drugs and alcohol, as reports claimed he had been on another one of his infamous “epic ragers” at his home. Charlie emerged in public for the first time since the hospitalization yesterday, and we have video to prove it.

Charlie steps out, is all smiles and thumbs up

You can see it below. X17 paparazzi were on the scene at Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles in Los Angeles, where Charlie celebrated with friends another pal’s birthday. The actor also tweeted about the outing and even posted a photo on social media from inside the joint.

The video was shot outside, when (presumably) Charlie allowed the paparazzi to get close enough to the back exit, through the parking lot. He didn’t speak much, but he did exchange hellos with a couple of the paps, gave them thumbs up, smiled for photos and explained why he could not give them his trademark tip of the hat.

Apparently, even warlocks with tiger blood get bad hair days just like everyone else.

Of course, fans must know that Charlie has always been very friendly with the paparazzi, so yesterday’s interaction shouldn’t come as a surprise. A more sceptic person could see in it, however, an attempt to infirm reports that he relapsed into drug and alcohol abuse, and that his recent hospitalization was actually for an overdose.

Charlie Sheen is living a very dangerous life

That’s what unnamed “insiders” are claiming, fresh after his recent trip to the ER. Him needing emergency medical assistance would have been enough to get the rumor mill going, because of his previous history, but there was something else too about the hospital trip that arouse suspicions.

Sheen’s friends called for an ambulance when he started feeling ill, but they didn’t dial 911, as most people in similar situations would have done. Instead, they called the local fire station, which, in turn, alerted the paramedics.

The difference between the two is that calls to the fire station are not automatically recorded, as is the case with all 911 calls.

Rumor has it that Sheen instructs all “guests” to his parties to never call 911 in case of an emergency, whether with him or anyone else, because the recording eventually makes its way online and blows his cover.

This is why his pals alerted the fire station on the night in question, a night in which he had ingested a lot of drugs and alcohol, admittedly. This way, they made sure he could have his rep claim food poisoning to the press when the story eventually got out, which it did in almost no time.

Either way, Charlie sure seems chirpy as usual, doesn’t he?
