Though Charlie Sheen put in an appearance at the MTV Movie Awards 2012 over the weekend and he seemed sober, reports are still making the rounds that he might be off the wagon and back to a life of non-stop partying and heavy drugs.

Fans must know that his stint on “Two and a Half Men” ended precisely because of that, after the show's creator Chuck Lorre deemed him too unstable to continue working on it.

Since then, Sheen has been sober – but that might have changed some time ago, a report in Radar Online suggests.

According to the actor's neighbors in the gated community where he lives, these past few weeks have been hell for them, since he kept at it night after night.

Sheen is partying with lots of strange friends, has women over and there is probably a lot of drinking and doing drugs involved, they say.

One even goes to lengths to explain that he might have relapsed because he's not working right now: inactivity pushed him to do the craziest things, the spy says.

“There has been an abnormally high levels of activity at the house all hours of the night. Cars containing scantily clad women arrive very late in the evening and don't leave until the next day. The women always appear to be wearing the same clothes they arrived in, and looking a little worse for the wear,” one neighbor tells Radar.

“There are also a number of random vehicles parked all over his driveway and in front of his house. The party goers, including Sheen, will smoke cigarettes outside in his backyard and swear loudly. It's becoming a nuisance, and the residents don't like outsiders lurking around all the time,” the spy goes on to say.

“[Sheen has been] partying because he isn't working right now. Filming for his new television show, Anger Management, is done for the first season of the show. Things always go awry with Charlie when he isn't working,” a friend of the star admits for the same media outlet.

Contacted by TMZ to comment on the rumors, Sheen would only say this much: never believe what you hear or read. In all fairness, he does go to great pains to word his answer in the most original manner a celebrity has ever employed.

“I can't speak to anyone's opinion or judgement. I was there they were not. their tepid hearsay is a baseless static drone. a mantra. their theme. I refuse to be held hostage by their 'constitutional' privelidge, to judge those who can and who do.
