Glamour girl Tila Tequila and rapper Method Man came out a bit worse for wear of the Gathering of Juggalos of previous years, but Charlie Sheen was winning all the way at the weekend. Despite being booed and pelted with plastic bottles, the MaSheen walked off stage unscathed.

Sheen was a guest of honor at the annual Insane Clown Posse music festival and, perhaps knowing that ICP fans (Juggalos) are not exactly best defined by their hospitality, he came prepared.

As the video below will show, instead of dodging the plastic bottles and other random objects that were hurled his way, Sheen actually went to the trouble of catching them with his bare hands.

He also handled the booing very well, up to the point when he realized that lingering for longer on stage would put his own safety at risk and left.

“I feel like I’m back in Detroit,” Sheen told the crowd when the booing started, referring to one of his most infamous dates in the tour My Violent Torpedo of Truth / Defeat Is Not an Option.

“Damn. I should’ve worn my [expletive]-ing goggles. Before I get impaled, I’m gonna leave the stage,” the actor adds after introducing the band Tech 9. He skillfully makes his exit afterwards.

Responding to reports that Charlie was literally booed off stage and that he backed out because he was afraid of being pelted with bottles, his rep says that he was actually welcomed most warmly by the Juggalos.

“Charlie did not get booed off of the stage. The Juggalos were chanting ‘whoop- whoop,’ which is a show of love. Charlie Sheen did well in front of the Juggalos,” Sheen’s rep says for E! Online.

Indeed, at the beginning of the video below, it does sound like the Juggalos are with Charlie, but they’re definitely booing towards the end.

“It was a huge response. He was tremendously received. There is no greater compliment to have garbage thrown at an artist. The crowd didn’t want him to leave,” the rep adds.
