Charisma Carpenter turned 44 years old the other day and she made sure she marked the occasion with the usual party with family and friends, loads of happy tweets and thank-you notes for her fans for their birthday wishes, and what do you know?, a super revealing photo of her amazing 44-year-old body.

Evidence online suggests that the photo was posted to Charisma’s Twitter feed, but as of the moment of writing, it has been removed. She does mention it, though, thus confirming it was, at one point, online.

The pic, which is still available over at the Daily Mail, was a black and white full portrait of the actress, sitting by a window, with her back arched and her gaze fixed outside the room, through the glass. However, the most important thing about it was that Charisma was completely nude in it.

Now you understand why the photo went viral right after she posted it: not only does she have an amazing figure, but she also has the willingness to show it off to the world, even on a social networking website, where such photos aren’t allowed.

Pop star Rihanna knows that better than anyone because, earlier this year, she had her Instagram account suspended temporarily for posting photos from a spread she’d done and in some of the photos you could make out her breasts entirely. Instagram isn’t down for that.

Seeing how Charisma’s photo is no longer available, neither is Twitter.

The actress, famous for her role as the uptight and quite annoying Cordelia Chase on the hit TV series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (from Joss Whedon pre-“Avengers”) and its spinoff “Angel,” has posed for this type of photos before. She famously did Playboy in 2004, but she’s taken part in less racy magazine spreads as well.

Her recent TV appearances include “The Lying Game” on ABC Family and “Blue Bloods” on CBS. Last August, she appeared on the season premiere of the new Investigation Discovery series “Surviving Evil,” in which she candidly and bravely spoke about the 1991 incident in which she fought off a serial rapist.

Though she escaped the attack, Charisma spent years in therapy, looking over her shoulder because of the traumatizing experience, she said at the time. Her brutal confession made news around the world and earned her praise from the public for being courageous enough as to open up about it on TV.
