It was a matter of time before Justin Bieber's model, aka Chantel Jeffries, was going to talk to the media about her brief stint in the arms of the pop singer. She happened to be by his side during one of the most controversial parts of his life and career and she also looked like his girlfriend for a while.

Chantel had a sit down with E! News and spoke about her relation with Justin and the alleged drug rumors that have been sticking with the Canadian crooner for some time now.

When asked about her status towards Bieber, Chantelle replied that “We’re friends. Do you kiss your friends, Terrence?… Do you sleep in the same bed as your friends?” shooting down right from the start any theory that she and Justin were involved in a romantic relationship.

The interviewer also touched on the drug addiction problem, but Chantel didn't have any juicy secrets to reveal, just some more shooting down of rumors, claiming that the rumored spiraling out of control was nothing more than “misconceptions about Justin.”

The model reveals that she and Justin met through common friends but says that she never saw him doing drugs. Then again, she adds that “I’m not around all the time. In the past I don’t know what’s happened with him, and it’s not really my place to say anything.”

The most disappointing part of the interview was in connection to the infamous night when Justin was pulled over in a yellow Lamborghini and subsequently arrested on charges of DUI and drag racing. Chantel was the only other person in the car at the time, but she said she couldn't talk about the incident for “legal reasons.”

Her story regarding Justin Bieber doesn't end there, however, since after he was released from police custody, the pop artist invited the model to Panama, where they were spotted on the beach together.

“He was just happy to be out,” Chantel remembers. “I think he just wanted to get away and have some fun, probably thinking Panama would be a place there wouldn’t be so much attention,” she supposes, but maintains that Justin is “a good person.”

Finally, Jeffries took the time to blast the rumors that she was doing all of this for the media attention and that she wasn't a “gold digger.” Several outlets reported that someone in Chantel's camp was reaching out to them shortly after the incident, trying to sell her story for a handsome sum.

“If anything, you can say I’m a goal-digger,” she said mocking the “gold digger” label, “because, guess what? I have my own goals. And I’m focused on those. I don’t really need anybody else,” she concluded.

This is coming from the same person who, last month, told the press that she would never sell her story to the media about her time with Bieber.

On her Twitter profile, Chantel describes herself as a “Student. Model. Eyebrow connoisseur. Animal lover. Deep thinker.” During her interview with E!, she labeled herself and “independent woman.”
