14 DAY TRIAL // On July 17, Magic Mike and his dancing troupe of hunks will be back in theaters with the Gregory Jacobs-directed “Magic Mike XXL,” the sequel to the 2012 hit release. Channing Tatum returns as writer, leading man and producer, and he’s also fronting the press tour, as the video below will confirm.
There’s a contest with Omaze that can get any lucky fan to the premiere of the film, at the parties with Channing and the cast, and many other amazing prizes. The money goes to charity, so even if you’re not a fan of the movie, you might want to consider entering it.
To raise awareness on the contest and to promote the film, Channing pranked a room packed with moviegoers. He underwent a makeover and passed for a marketing dude interested in gauging audience response to the “Magic Mike” phenomenon.
He also promised them a 3D screening of the film, saying that it would be the best they’d ever seen. That definitely turned out to be true, because the moment the lights went out, shirtless hunks came out of nowhere and started dancing on them.
Channing joined the dancers towards the end, before unmasking himself. Sadly, he didn’t do any of the routines included in the “Magic Mike” films, but he did twerk on a female fan. Even so, reactions were very heated.
