After several attempts and a miscarriage that occurred last year, at the end of May this year, singer Celine Dion announced that she was pregnant. Not only that, but she was expecting twins, the announcement also said, though, at that time, neither the diva nor her husband, Rene Angelil, knew whether they will have boys or girls. As it turns out, it will be the former, E! Online writes.

Confirmation from Celine’s spokesperson has come, saying she is expecting twin boys. The singer already has a son with her husband but, given how hard she’s tried to become pregnant again, she must be over the moon nonetheless, even if word has it many mothers would rather have girls than boys, especially if they already have a son. Since the statement says nothing else, it is assumed Celine continues to remain in excellent health.

“Celine first announced the upcoming new additions to the Angelil-Dion family back in May, and now she just revealed that she is expecting twin boys! Congratulations to the happy family!” a statement on the singer’s official webpage reads. As also noted above, nothing else is mentioned, which means Celine continues to take good care of herself so that all goes well with her pregnancy, just like she said she would in an interview back in July, the first time she opened up about the happy news since confirmation of the pregnancy was made.

“I feel like I’ve been pregnant more than a year. I never gave up. But I can tell you that it was physically and emotionally exhausting. My doctors had to constantly reassure me. I [wanted] to see the babies. Each week I had sonograms. I heard their heart beats. It’s stressful but I’m relaxing. I look at my little belly. I do almost nothing. If you tell me I have to stay in bed, I will stay in bed until November, when the babies are born. To bring them into the world, there’s nothing more important than that. It’s incredible. We will have a beautiful family nest full of love,” Celine said, as we also informed you at the time.
