The beach season is literally around the corner, but women who only have a few pounds to lose should not panic, the latest issue of Life & Style magazine says. Celebrities are also working hard to get their bodies in the best shape possible and, as such, we might as well learn from them and get our body toned just the way we like it in due time.

The mag has spoken to the likes of Kendra Wilkinson, Kim Kardashian and Kristin Cavallari on how they’re dealing with a few extra pounds before the beach season, and each has an interesting story to tell. The print issue of the mag brings more details on this, but, in the meantime, we have a preview of the piece in the online version. Kendra, for instance, is in no rush to lose all the pregnancy weight, in the sense she wouldn’t go on a fad diet just to get there faster, preferring instead to focus on working out a little bit more.

“Kendra Wilkinson says no to extreme dieting, but tells Life & Style that doesn’t mean she isn’t working hard to banish her baby belly. ‘I’m phasing [junk food] out, little by little,’ she says. She’s also shedding weight by ‘hiking, biking, just going outside and having fun’,” the mag writes. As for Cavallari, in her case, it’s all about what she eats. “I don’t eat processed food, for the most part. I try to eat all natural. I work out three to four times a week at the gym and do lots of sit-ups. My stomach is my trouble area,” the reality TV star says.

Curvaceous Kim Kardashian has been on a diet for a long while now, having also embarked on a stricter workout routine, which she did mostly on a dare, to prove her critics wrong. “Kim Kardashian, who has recently dropped five pounds in just five days, says the extra weight she lost gave her the confidence she needed for the bikini season. ‘I used to be shy and insecure walking around in a bikini,’ the size 2 star told Life & Style. ‘But now I just love feeling confident’,” Life & Style writes, after having spoken to Kim herself.

Nevertheless, the latest issue of the mag does not offer only tips from celebrities and insight into how they’re losing weight. Fitness expert Jackie Warner of Bravo’s “Work Out” show is also offering advice on the type of exercise we should do to get the body we want: it doesn’t matter how much a workout session lasts, but how intense it is, she says.
