Not one, but two Skeleton chassis come from the company now

Just recently Antec has entered the business of designing really outrageously looking computer chassis, by introducing the Skeleton. At this year's CeBIT show in Hanover, Germany, Antec has taken things a step forward and showcased a new concept, which is to become the Skeleton Proto 2. The new product is based on Antec's first Skeleton case, but now offers some additional room for other components.

According to Antec, the Skeleton Proto 2 has only been designed for events such as the one taking place in Hanover. The company doesn't currently have any intention of delivering the new product to the market, although some high-end enthusiasts might actually get their hands on this conceptual computer case.

As you can see in the pictures, the Skeleton Proto 2 is basically made out of two Skeleton chassis, designed to house a high-end computer configuration. One thing that the new concept enhances even more than the previous chassis is the air flow, as now there will be two 250mm fans with multicolor LED customizations, which will leverage even more the stylish cooling capabilities of the Skeleton.

For those who might not remember the first Skeleton chassis, it came with four layered component trays that would allow for a convenient display of the components inside it, while delivering greater system integration flexibility, and also offered options for 4 x 3.5¨ side panel mounted drive trays.

The chassis is able to support StandardATX, MicroATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, while providing 2 x USB 2.0, 1 x FireWire (IEEE1394), 1 x eSATA, Audio (AC97' and HDA compatible) In and Out slots, as well as 8 expansion slots, offering space for multiple graphics card solutions, including NVIDIA 3-way SLI. One thing that the company chose not to include with the chassis is a power supply, stating that users should be able to choose this component by themselves, so as to fit their computing needs and to optimize the performance of the system.
