Back in March, the news about how an aggressive cat single-pawedly managed to strike fear into an entire family living in Oregon, US, made headlines. As it turns out, there is another crazy cat in town. Cat from hell 2.0, if you will.

Long story short, media reports tell us it was this past weekend that a feline which could sure use some anger management classes attacked an elderly couple living in the state of Florida and forced them to take refuge in their bedroom.

By the looks of it, the cat was so determined to teach its owners a thing or two about respect that the couple had to call 911 and ask that Animal Control officers pay them a home visit and help them gain control of the feline.

According to New York Daily News, the incident occurred this past Saturday. At that time, Teresa Gregory and husband James were just minding their own business and hanging about their DeLand home, oblivious to what their cat had in store for them.

Talking to the press, Teresa Gregory explained that, from what she could remember, her and her husband's pet cat, a 4-year-old Russian Blue named Kush, went ballistic the moment she accidentally stepped on it in the dark.

Thus, it was after Teresa Gregory disturbed its peace of mind by stepping on it that the feline turned really aggressive and attacked both the woman and her husband. Eventually, the couple was left with no choice but to run for safety.

Having locked themselves in their bedroom, the couple contacted local authorities and asked that somebody come and free them. “She’s got us locked in our bedroom. She's never been like this,” the woman told the 911 operator who answered her call.

“My husband’s arms were ripped up – I mean ripped up! Pouring blood. We don’t know what to do. I can’t get to the door to let anybody in. There’s no way to get out. I love this cat to death, but I’ve never seen her act like this,” she added.

Animal Control officers did not take long to arrive at the couple's home, and Teresa and James Gregory were soon rescued. Because the cat has not yet had any shots, the couple is to stay in quarantine for 10 days, just to make sure the attack will not cause them to develop any medical complications.

This is yet to be confirmed, but chances are that, following this attack, the 4-year-old cat will be put to sleep. Unless somebody volunteers to take it in and look after it, that is.
