News of cats climbing up trees and then being unable to get back on the ground reach firefighters and local authorities quite often.

However, one cat in Idaho has recently decided to give its feline friends a run for their money and climbed up a power pole instead.

At first, both the local fire department and representatives of the power company to whom the pole belonged claimed that nothing could be done to save the animal.

However, once its owners asked for help from neighbors and representatives of the media, a solution was found.

Thus, with the help of a truck equipped with a longer reach bucket, Fritz was rescued and returned to its family.

Presently, Orville Thrall is overjoyed about having been reunited with Fritz, which, “[is] more than just a cat, it's my best friend.”

We can only assume that, in the aftermath of this rather unpleasant experience, Fritz will give up on climbing up power poles.
