The RSPCA concluded that the incident was nothing but a “senseless attack”

The 11-year-old cat featured in the picture above has recently returned home to his owner looking not quite as the latter remembered him.

Long story short, Becks, as this cat from Bedford is named, came home with a significant portion of the fur on its back shaved off. As the picture shows, a message was inscribed where Becks' fur used to be: “Please neut this.”

Owner Sharon Munns explains that, since she took care of neutering Becks about eight years ago, whomever did this must have confused him with some other feline living in the neighborhood.

“This must have been a very frightening experience for the cat and we understand the owners' distress at this senseless attack on their pet,” a spokesperson for the local RSPCA reportedly said.

Those who have any information concerning this incident are asked to contact the RSPCA as soon as possible.
