14 DAY TRIAL // Casper Smart gets to keep some of the most expensive gifts he received from Jennifer Lopez during their 2-year romance but, other than that, he’s pretty much on his own from now on, a new report says.
The other day, word got out that Jennifer was feeling very generous in the split and that, as a result, she would let Casper, who supposedly cheated on her with either one or two transgender models, keep the gifts she’d been showering him with during their time together.
That included expensive cars, designer clothes and jewelry, and other kinds of costly trinkets that celebrities usually delight in owning. TMZ says that Casper is only getting the cars and, we assume, some of the clothes he’s been wearing.
“Casper gets to keep 2 motorcycles, a jeep and a Dodge Ram truck. Pretty sweet so far, but that's where it ends. Casper's days tooling around L.A. in that white Bentley are over. Ditto flying private jets, the fancy Hamptons mansion and the Hidden Hills estate,” the celebrity publication writes.
“The toughest change for Casper – he won't be sitting front row during Paris Fashion Week with Kanye,” adds the report. So he won’t be getting to enjoy the same A-list perks he got when he was Mr. Jennifer Lopez.
With these perks, also gone is the money. The report notes that Jennifer is officially cutting all funds for Casper, which probably includes the $10,000 (€7,384) weekly allowance the diva put him on in the early days of the relationship so he could dress according to his new position and act accordingly as well.
TMZ notes that Casper, who rose from backup dancer to tour choreographer in his Lopez days, is “too much of a fan” to ask for anything either way, which probably means that he’s willing to try and prove that he can make it on his own.
Speaking of making it, it is being said that he wants to break into Hollywood as an actor and / or producer, and thus move away from his dancing career. Several insiders have told the press that this is partly why he wanted to break up with Jennifer, because he wanted to show the world that he could be more than her boyfriend / dancer.
As a dancer, Casper is pretty skilled, so we guess he was making good money off it. However, to become at least remotely successful in Hollywood requires talent, or very good connections, or at the very least bucketload of blind luck.
With Lopez on his arm, Casper could count on the second one so either he has these other two in abundance, or he’s just taken a major gamble. We’ll see.
