14 DAY TRIAL // For the first time since he rose to international fame, meaning since a couple of years ago when he started dating Jennifer Lopez, Casper Smart is taking legal action against an e-zine for a story saying he slept around on Jennifer with two transgender models. He also plans to sue one of the models who’s talking to the media about it.
The scandal broke at the beginning of this month, when one transgender model told The Dirty that Casper picked her up on Instagram and that they had a virtual “thing” where they exchanged naughty photos and messages.
You can barely count that as cheating, so perhaps this story alone would not have ruined Casper’s relationship with the diva from the Bronx – allegedly, of course.
A second model, also transgender, stepped forward to back up the story of Casper’s wandering eye and to add a few more juicy details: their fling wasn’t just virtual, it actually became physical when they met in Miami and they “kissed and did a little more” in the backseat of a limo.
It is believed that, as a result of these revelations, Jennifer decided to dump Casper because she felt like she could not trust him anymore. The shock must have been greater for her considering it came while she was away on business, so she didn’t hear of Casper’s transgressions from Casper himself.
While we might never get to the bottom of this, the former backup dancer turned choreographer wants to make sure we know for a fact that he never cheated on Jennifer – neither with these two transgender models, nor with anyone else.
“His lawyer has fired off a letter to the founder [of The Dirty], Nik Richie, denying he's ever met, kissed or had sexual relations with either of the transsexuals in question. Smart says he didn't send them dirty pics and flat out denies cheating on Jennifer. Smart has given the site an ultimatum – either retract the story or get sued,” TMZ reports.
The model who spoke to the press about the so-called Miami hookup has been served with a similar notice. Apparently, Smart is eager to have the world know that he and Jennifer split some weeks ago, for reasons that had nothing to do with either of these two women.
However, the e-zine that “exposed” him is not backing down, the aforementioned media outlet notes.
“Casper, go get a real job. I heard Instagram is hiring over in their compliance department... Stop blaming everyone else for your problems,” Richie tells TMZ.
So that probably means that Richie is risking a lawsuit because Smart too says he’s not backing down until justice is served. Of course, there’s also the possibility that Richie could be so defiant because he knows for a fact that Smart won’t sue because he can’t. Because the allegations are true.
