14 DAY TRIAL // It’s hard to buy presents for the woman who appears to have it all but, somehow, Casper Smart managed to pull off this impossible task for Jennifer Lopez’s 44th birthday by going for something vintage and expensive.
Jennifer’s birthday was on July 24. Casper, her boyfriend of almost 2 years and her backup dancer and tour choreographer, first made sure he wished her a happy birthday on Twitter.
He called her his and the world’s most beautiful “bear,” the nicest, sweetest and hottest woman there is. He also told her he loved her.
However, People magazine writes, this isn’t all that Smart got JLo for her birthday, because he also made sure she was almost literally showered in gold and diamonds.
The celebrity publication also has photos of the two items Smart must have spent a fortune on: a ‘40s gold ring with diamonds and a buckle motif, and a matching ‘70s gold bracelet, from the Platt Boutique in LA.
Both items were vintage and one of a kind, because, as noted above, you can’t do any less for the woman who has it all.
Casper got a helping hand in picking the items from Jennifer’s longtime stylists, Mariel and Rob, People says.
“He told me he had bought her jewelry before, but never vintage, so he wanted to go in a different direction, something one-of-a-kind,” owner Larry Platt reveals for the magazine.
“He has a very good eye and knew what he wanted. He was looking for vintage pieces that had a chic, modern feel to them. He told me that there are only two pieces of jewelry that Jennifer wears on a daily basis, so he wanted to pick pieces that he felt she would wear all the time and could go with everything,” Platt continues.
When he left the store, he had just the items he was looking for. Plus, they were also very valuable and one of a kind.
“He appreciated the fact that pieces were beautifully made, from a different era and were completely unique,” Platt adds.
People notes that Jennifer was photographed with the bracelet the next day, so we can guess she liked her birthday present.
