Sony Online Entertainment today announced that it is developing Cash Money Chaos, the brand new intellectual property for the PlayStation Portable. The arcade style shooter presents a TV show setting, where uber fast action ensues while fighting hordes of swarming enemies. Cash Money Chaos has not yet been rated and is currently scheduled for release in early 2007, at a retail price of $29.99.

Cash Money Chaos sees gamers captured by aliens, who host a twisted 70's game show where the main prize is the survival of the human race. Instead of questions, aliens fire off bizarre foes at competitors, including alien chickens, bloodthirsty ninjas, and mutant hillbillies. Within the televised free fire zone, there are only two goals: get cash and survive until the end. In classic shooter style, huge transforming bosses will spice things up whenever finishing a chapter. It seems the "rockin' punk soundtrack" is suited especially for such encounters.

The isometric perspective allows players to move and blast away in 360 degrees, similar to Smash TV. Gamers can also battle each other wirelessly in the eight player Versus Mode mayhem, or respectively team up for Co-op Game Show Mode in groups up to four. Those who would rather live to fight another day can go solo through the full fifty episodes within the two single player modes. Beside cash, a lot of weapons, power ups, awards and prizes await the daring competitor ripe for the taking. As an added bonus, there are eight multiplayer maps to unlock for further enjoyment. Concerning the three difficulty levels, will you be a Wuss, Cool, or Bad Ass at Cash money Chaos? There's only one way to find out.
