Carrie Underwood hasn’t walked a red carpet in about 6 months, taking some time off to be with her family: she and husband Mike Fisher welcomed their first child, Isaiah Michael, in February this year. She made her return to the red carpet last night at the CMT Music Awards, the 2015 edition.

Not only that, but Carrie made the night her own, taking home 3 of the 6 awards she was nominated for, which makes her a record holder: she has more CMT awards than any other artist, a total of 13.

Carrie stuns in tight dress, just 3 months after birth

On the red carpet and for a big part of the gala, Carrie wore a long-sleeve Thomas Wylde dress with strappy heels and massive jewelry. The dress was short and very tight, thus allowing the star to “show off” her post-pregnancy figure, after just 3 months of giving birth.

To perform “Little Toy Guns,” Carrie changed into a gorgeous, sparkly black dress with a heavy skirt, but it was still her white dress that got her the most attention from the media.

Her performance is in the first video embedded below. The second one comprises footage of her throughout the night, including a brief interview in which she tells an ET reporter that she managed to get her figure back by simply making workouts happen whenever they need to happen.

Carrie’s secret, it seems, is that she’s always in workout clothes, so if she catches a break of a few minutes, she will use it to burn some calories. Well, at least she’s honest and admits it takes work to look like this, which can’t be said about other celebrities who claim they did nothing and the weight just “dropped off.”

Carrie Underwood has “the best fans in the world”

Carrie took home 3 awards last night, for Female Video of the Year, Collaborative Video of the Year (“Somethin’ Bad” with Miranda Lambert) and Video of the Year, arguably the biggest distinction at the gala.

She was surprised every time her name was called up on stage, and showed how humble she was when she attributed her wins to the support she was getting from the fans, as if the credit was all theirs.

“I have the best fans in the world, I really do,” she said in the acceptance speech for Video of the Year. “I mean, Country music has the best fans in the world, but I definitely have the best of the best of the best.”

Before you head on to the performance and the other video, here are all the winners from the CMT Music Awards 2015.
