14 DAY TRIAL // Developer Stainless Games has announced that Carmageddon: Reincarnation is coming out on PC on April 23.
If you love to hate racing games, then Carmageddon: Reincarnation is the perfect fit for you. The game is currently on Steam Early Access, rebooting the classic violent racing franchise and bringing an onslaught of automotive killing machines to your fingertips.
The franchise rose to fame back in the '90s, when its superb gameplay experience and many innovative features propelled it into the hall of fame. The creators were inspired by the cult classic "Death Race 2000," a movie that's more about destroying stuff than actual racing.
Similarly, Carmageddon: Reincarnation is more about killing pedestrians and cows, destroying the scenery and your opponents, trashing their rides and making them suffer, than about cutting corners and crossing the finish line first.
The car-crashing simulation entered beta testing in February this year, and now it seems that developer Stainless Games is ready to release the game for everyone to enjoy.
A lot of classic Carmageddon action
The game features a full career mode, with 16 chapters that feature up to four events each, and allows up to eight players to take part in some crazy multiplayer action.
At launch, players will be able to choose from a selection of 25 different vehicles, with nine tracks to prove their skills on, and over 80 different power-ups to enjoy while racing.
The devs launched a brand new trailer to celebrate the announcement, showing off some of the crazy fun stuff you can do in the game, which is mainly running pedestrians over and diving head-first into opponents.
Also, the devs have noted that this is the last chance to take advantage of the special Early Access special bundle offer, where if you purchase the game before its launch date, you not only get instant access to the beta but also the Carmageddon Classic Collection completely free.
