Kosztor Sandorne, a Hungarian thief known as the “Flying Gizi,” was arrested again for theft, this time caught red handed, while breaking into a suburban home, in the northwestern part of the country. The 83-year-old lady is one of Hungary's most well-known crooks, and got her nickname on account of the fact that after break-in, she used to depart that particular city via airplane.

Naturally, once all pensioners got free train tickets, she changed her way of doing things, and that's when she dropped off the police's radars. She has been under scrutiny from authorities since the 1950s, and has since been convicted of various crimes 20 times. Courts in the capital Budapest are now thoroughly acquainted with her, and it comes as no shock to judges that, regularly, she appears before them again, having been caught in various parts of the country.

This Thursday, she was again apprehended while trying to “save some money,” according to her own testimony. Basically, she told the officers that arrested her that she was not trying to steal belongings from the house, but that she was merely looking to crash there for the night, on account of the fact that she couldn't afford to rent a hotel room in Budapest. So she thought that looking for a vacant house and “sleeping” there for the night wouldn't hurt anyone.

However, someone must have seen her and notified the police. The old lady was again caught, and spent the night in jail, a place she is more than familiar with. The fact that she is again in police custody couldn't have come at a worst time, because she is already under suspicions of committing another robbery, in the city of Szentendre, near the Hungarian capital.

Her fate now rests solely in the hands of the Komarom house owner, who still hasn't decided whether he would press charges against the “Flying Gizi” or not.
