Well, this piece of news is sure to give your pants' back side a nice brown nuance, as Capcom has indeed confirmed Street Fighter 4 at their media event overseas, according to 1UP.com, in the form of a teaser trailer, which you can check out for your own viewing pleasure below (courtesy of GameVideos.com).

It has been speculated for quite some time that Capcom was cooking up an all new Street Fighter game, but with the announcement of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, those rumors were slowly put to sleep. Seeing that Street Fighter never died in the hearts of true fighting game fans, Capcom decided to waste no more time and reveal Street Fighter 4 at their media event. I'm sure you're already watching the teaser for the third time by now, but just in case you're still with us, what do you think about the concept they've chosen for it. Truly unique you must admit. Is it just me or the Street Fighter series might just be on the verge of a really "NEW BEGINNING"? I couldn't miss the shock waves and blood emerging after Ryu hits Ken and vice versa, not to mention that Ryu looks like he's really summoning stuff towards the end of the teaser.

Sure, Street Fighter had that Super thing and all, which you'd recharge by blocking adversary hits and then release to kick their ass into nonexistence, but this looks really different. However, we can't tell at this point whether Capcom is making a 3D Street Fighter 4 or not, but everyone's crying for the same fighting system all over the Internet, so hopefully Capcom listens.

Still, the series does need some fresh blood and since Capcom has pretty much drained everything from the 2D series with the latest addition (HD Remix), they're surely focusing on taking Street Fighter to a whole new level. As soon as any new details emerge, we'll post them as fast as we can.
