We've talked so much about knock-offs and copies this year that it's only fitting to have one ready for one of the last days of 2010, and this time around, we're going back to basics, since the Caoon 1:1 DSLR Camera USB Speaker is a device that, despite being shaped like a DSLR, has very little in common with such a high-end digital camera. The device in question features a fairly accurate DSLR design, not only as far as the shape is concerned (although that's also the case), but also in terms of size (the speaker measures 170 x 140 x 110mm and weighs around 400g).

However, as mentioned above, the functionality provided by this thing is actually quite different from that of a digital camera.

So, the speaker can play music from PCs (via the USB connector), USB devices (using the same interface) or SD/MMC cards, and also packs a 3.5mm audio port for connecting to media players.

The device comes packed with Vol +/Vol/Previous/Next/Pause – buttons, an On/Off switch and is powered by USB port or 4 AA batteries.

As for the possible uses of such a product, we'd dare to say that some photographers might actually be quite interested in having such an accessory laying around the house, while others might go as far as bragging that they own a DSLR, when that's not, in fact, the case (you might say that this is impossible, but trust us, that can be the case in certain parts of the world).

The Caoon 1:1 DSLR Camera USB Speaker is actually fairly affordable, selling for somewhere in the vicinity of 82 US dollars, which might get some of the aforementioned categories of users quite interested in it.

Beside the device itself, users will also get in the sales package an USB cable for connecting to a computer, a 3.5mm audio cable, a remote control and an User guide.
