Following the latest rumors regarding the upcoming white digital SLR announced by Canon Korea a few days ago, some new information has been discovered by Japanese forum Digicameinfo.

According to this new piece of info and as we have previously informed you, the upcoming Canon “White Kiss” will be a white EOS Kiss X7 (EOS 100D in EU, Rebel SL1 in US) digital SLR.

The new white EOS 100D will have the same specs as the original version, with the sole difference being in terms of color, the body of the camera to be painted white with reduced gloss.

It seems that there will be two EOS Kiss X7 kits available on the market: one bundled with the EF 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens and another one with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens.

Moreover, the EF 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens that will come within the camera kit will also be painted white to match the new body. The new camera could be announced around Christmas this year according to the last teaser trailer published by Canon Japan on their Facebook page.
