This firmware extends ISO range to 80,000 and adds compatibility with new cinema lenses

It seems that some users of the Canon EOS cinema cameras received a memo from Canon, which stated that the recently released 1.1.0.1.00 firmware for the EOS C300 and C300 PL cinema cameras has been removed from their download services.

Canon has determined that the EOS C300 and C300 PL cameras that had the new firmware installed were causing discrepancies in color balance on the footage captured, according to TheDigitalPicture.

For the users that have already updated their firmware, Canon offers two solutions. Either they wait for a new firmware version that will fix this bug or send the camera to their local Canon Customer Support Center to restore its firmware version to 1.0.9.1.00.

Canon is working on a new firmware to address this issue as fast as possible. Stay tuned as we try to find out more about this new problem and maybe a possible release date for a new firmware.
