Printers work great with any and all PCs, whether they link to them wirelessly or through cables, but not all of them can easily communicate with other products.

Fortunately, companies are doing their best to enable printing off smaller, mobile gadgets like smartphones and, of course, tablets.

The latter aren't that hard to handle, seeing as how they possess most of the connectors and programs that PCs are endowed with. Phones are a bit trickier though.

As it happens, Canon has enabled AirPrint support on its PIXMA MG4220 and MG3220 Wireless All-In-One inkjet printers.

This single feature will let iPhones, iPads and iPod touch devices from Apple wirelessly print photos, web pages, documents and e-mails.

There is no need for device drivers, but the iPhone does need to be 3GS or later and the iPad/iPod Touch (3rd-generation or later) require iOS 4.2 or a more recent iteration of the operating system.
