Canon, one of the leaders in the photo industry, released a new firmware update for their mid-range digital SLR camera, the Canon EOS 7D, which aims to fix a small issue.

The new firmware v2.0.5 comes with a small fix for a bug encountered with the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) that prevented image file transfer via USB cable after a wireless connection has been established between the camera and a WFT-E5 wireless transmitter.

This new firmware is addressed only to cameras running the 2.0.3 firmware and doesn't need to be applied if you recently bought a new Canon EOS 7D with the 2.0.5 firmware pre-installed.

In addition to that, you will also need to download WFT-E5 1.0.7 Firmware (Type A, B, C, and D) in order to be compatible with the new camera firmware.

All in all, you can download Firmware 2.0.5 for Canon EOS 7D right away from our website.
