According to the Mirror, Cohan is a gynaecologist herself and she aims to encourage women to face body and health issues with confidence, even when they are this serious.
She dances to Beyonce's “Get Me Bodied” with the nurses, surgeons and anaesthetists in the operating theater before her bilateral mastectomy.
“I have visions of a healing video montage. Nothing brings me greater joy than catalyzing others to dance, move, be in their bodies,” she tells Los Angeles Times.
The mother of two also brought family and friends to her pre-surgery dance. Her video has been watched 3.5 million times since Tuesday.
