14 DAY TRIAL // You can add Calvin Harris and Rita Ora to the long list of people who've broken up recently. It must be something in the water or at least summer coming because people are ditching their partners left and right. We had nothing but breakups and divorces in the news this week.
It was Harris who broke the news of the separation when he took to Twitter to end the months of speculation the tabloids were involved in. A lot of magazines theorized that the love in their relationship was over and the two were now on the rocks.
Harris tweeted that all the rumors were true: “To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best.”
Rita Ora, it would seem, was not as eager to discuss the issue and she's been keeping her silence, despite fans demanding to hear her point of view. So far, only Calvin has brought up the issue and it looks like he's hinting towards a peaceful and friendly split. That or he's just taking the high road.
The pair have been involved in a relationship since May 2013 and it extended beyond the bedroom. The Scottish DJ is known to have produced Rita's latest single “I Will Never Let You Down.”
While Calvin was spotted leaving two Hollywood clubs with two different girls on separate evenings, Rita hasn't really gotten out yet. She is reported to have stayed in Mexico with her family. Of course, there are those rumors that she's been having an affair with Jay Z, behind Beyonce's back.
When asked some time ago about this possible fling, Rita slammed it down hard, claiming that the subject shouldn't even be mentioned, since it was disrespectful to Beyonce. But now that divorce rumors are starting to pop up between Bey and Jay, people are taking a second look at the relationship between Rita and her mentor.
And while this scandal is going on, Calvin is more than happy to put this entire episode behind him. He's been partying non-stop and he's not shying away from female attention. However, if the split took place some time ago, than it's likely that both of them have put whatever issues they had behind them.
Either way, you can now add Rita Ora to the list of newly-single singers, which makes her ready for a summer fling. Let the parties begin.
