Call of Juarez: The Cartel has finally received some concrete details since being unveiled early last month, including screenshots and a video.

Ubisoft and Techland announced Call of Juarez: The Cartel last month, but said only that the game would be shifting its action from the American Civil War era to the present, charting an adventure from Los Angeles to Juarez, Mexico.

This was enough to cause quite a lot of stir in Mexico, where government authorities are already militating for the game to be banned.

Now, the two companies have finally decided to share some concrete details about the game.

According to Techland, its developer, the new Call of Juarez game will see a fictional drug cartel bomb a US law enforcement agency, prompting it to create a special team of survivors to hunt the perpetrators down.

"The task force consists of Kim Evans, a gang-affiliated street kid-turned-FBI agent, Eddie Guerra, a DEA agent with a chronic gambling habit and brutal LAPD detective and descendant of Ray McCall from the original Call of Juarez, Ben McCall," said Ubisoft in a statement.

"As the task force trio searches for the head of the cartel, they're confronted with a variety of challenges that take them on a road trip from Los Angeles, California, through Arizona and New Mexico to Juarez, Mexico."

Each character has its own faults and challenges that they must overcome, thus adding new elements to the story of the game.

The feature list of The Cartel is quite impressive, including three player online cooperative play and much more, so you can check them all out below.

-Rich, dark and in-depth storyline -Three player online co-op with Kim Evans, Eddie Guerra and Ben McCall -Gamers can play the entire campaign as each of the three characters; each character has his/her own unique story and ending -15 missions and maps -More than 30 guns and weapons to choose from -Wide variety of gameplay including punitive raids, witness protection, tough interrogations, undercover missions, car chases and more.
