According to the latest news on the Web, one of the popular games available on the market today, namely the Call of Duty series, is expected to soon become mobile. The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 should come to a series of mobile platforms, including Windows Mobile, Android and BlackBerry, this fall, as Glu Mobile and Activision Publishing, Inc have reportedly partnered to make the move.

“Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 is one of the most anticipated entertainment properties of the year and the Glu team is excited to develop a mobile game for this blockbuster title for fans of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare franchise,” stated Jill Braff, senior vice president of Glu Mobile, cited by appmodo.

In case the duo indeed manages to come to the market in the near future with the title for mobile phones, we're sure that a lot of enthusiasts around the world will rejoice. At the same time, it should be interesting to see whether the game will also become available for other operating systems apart from the aforementioned ones, for there are iPhone and Symbian users who would definitely enjoy it too.

Glu Mobile already unveiled plans to launch a series of attractive games on the market this year, and the company already teases users with TRANSFORMERS Revenge of the Fallen, TRANSFORMERS CyberToy, or Glyder on its site. In addition, it has recently launched Family Guy Uncensored for the iPhone users out there, as well as for other mobile platforms.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 mobile game won't come alone in the end, it seems, as users will also be able to enjoy an action-packed adventure via Family Guy Uncensored, with five playable characters (Stewie, Peter, Brian, Chris or Quagmire), mini-games and a series of others features as well. No release dates have been unveiled so far, but it shouldn't be long before more details surface, so stay tuned.
