Devastation is the second full downloadable content pack launchesd for Call of Duty: Ghosts by the development team at Infinity Ward, and publisher Activision and the two companies are now ready to offer more information on what gamers who get it will receive.

The four new maps that will be included in the DLC are:

Collision – based on a container ship stuck under a crippled New York bridge, filled with debris, it is designed to offer the perfect environment for run and gun action, with a heavily armed aircraft offered to those who control it;

Ruins – set in a Mexican peninsula and centered on a Mayan temple, it will use multiple levels to create complex killing fields and force player to constantly adapt their tactics, with a volcano in the middle ready to erupt;

Behemoth – moves the action to South America, on a big excavation platform, where long range weapons are most useful , apart from the tight corridors of the control rooms, and a helicopter armed with a rail gun ready to be used by the most capable team;

Unearthed – the final DLC map re-builds the classic map Dome from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, with new secret areas built around an alien artifact site which also includes some of the powerful and deadly Cryptids.

The already revealed Ripper weapon is also set to appear in the game and all those who have bought the Season Pass for Call of Duty: Ghosts can already use it in multiplayer and enjoy its mix of submachinegun and assault rifle capabilities.

The Devastation DLC pack also introduces the second episode of the Extinction cooperative campaign, called Mayday, which allows gamers to move to a mysterious Chinese research vessel somewhere in the South Pacific.

The new Venom-X weapon, with its impressive modding capabilities, can be used in the battle with a new alien species that is officially called the Seeder, while also dealing with a massive Cryptid enemy that calls the ocean home and is named the Kraken.

Daniel Suarez, vice president of production at Activision, states, "Ghosts' DLC is much more than just new multiplayer maps. The teams have added new weapons; the next intense continuation in Extinction's four-part, episodic narrative; and another epic, action film character soon to be revealed. Devastation, like Onslaught before it, is a ton of fun, and we can't wait for the community to experience it all."

Call of Duty: Ghosts Devastation will be first launched on the Xbox Live on April 3, and those gaming on other platforms will need to wait for the new content for about one month.
