Call of Duty: Black Ops has just seen a brand new patch released on the PlayStation 3, in the form of update 1.05, which aims at fixing the big number of technical issues that plagued this version of the hugely successful first person shooter.

The studio confirmed on the forums of the game that it has successfully deployed patch 1.05 onto the PlayStation Network, and gamers will be able to download it when they start the game connected to the Internet.

In case you aren't familiar with the array of problems encountered by the game on the PlayStation 3, it all started when Black Ops was officially released on the Sony console.

It was plagued by lag and glitches, both in the single-player and multiplayer modes, so the company released a number of patches dedicated to fixing the whole experience.

The last one was patch 1.04 which, sadly, made things a lot worse, as PS3 users encountered lots of problems with the online mode, including excessively long matchmaking times, game crashes or console freezes.

Judging by the users that are now posting on the Call of Duty forums, patch 1.05 has garnered mixed responses.
