Call of Duty: Black Ops, Activision's massively successful first person shooter has just received another update for the PC edition through Valve's Steam service.

While Call of Duty: Black Ops players on the PlayStation 3 have been experiencing nothing but problems on their platform, PC users have slowly but surely gotten a very good game, even if Black Ops also had problems on their platform when it first came out.

The latest patch for Black Ops on the PC has been deployed over the weekend through Valve's own Steam digital distribution service, and will be automatically downloaded the next time you start it up.

Treyarch, the studio responsible for the very successful title, has focused on fixing various stability issues and bugs that were reported by the community through its forums.

New settings for the multiplayer mode were also added, in order to enhance the experience, so check out the full list below.

Call of Duty: Black Ops has shattered sales records, and it is getting ready to receive its first piece of downloadable content, in the form of the First Strike map pack.

The DLC contains four new maps for the multiplayer mode and a new one for the cooperative zombie one.

Sadly, for PC and PlayStation 3 owners, the First Strike DLC is a timed exclusive, meaning it will first appear on the Xbox 360, on February 1, and after a certain time, for the other two platforms.
