They are probably tied to the core game story

We might not yet know too many details about the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, but it seems that the development team at Treyarch has hidden the locations of some real world environments in the brief teaser trailer that was offered for the title.

A user on the Se7evSins forums has managed to spot two of them and determine which area of the world they are pointing at.

One of the them is set in Zurich, Switzerland, at Schanzengasse 14, 8001, which does not seem to be linked to any sort of interesting historical moment.

The other one is linked to the 6th of October Bridge in Cairo, Egypt.

The location commemorates the Yom Kippur War that took place in 1973, when Arab forces were decisively defeated by Israeli armies.

The development team at Treyarch and publisher Activision have not offered any sort of information on how these two locations might be linked to the story told in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

A bigger set of details about the video game is expected to arrive on April 26, but it is unlikely that the two companies will tell fans all they want to know.

A live-action trailer will probably be the focus of the reveal, and some details about the plot might also be included.

It's unclear whether there's a connection with the previous two Black Ops experiences.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will mix two time periods

Speculation and leaks are suggesting that the first-person shooter will be focused on two separate timelines, with events that influence each other and separate protagonists.

The leaked cover image for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 shows that gamers will be able to use a range of near-future tech, including an exo-skeleton and some powerful new weapons.

Treyarch has said that it is aiming to introduce more emotional elements in its titles.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the first game in the franchise that is created using a three-year development cycle, as Activision aims to add more quality to its releases.

The developers have not talked about the multiplayer side of the experience so far, but it seems that they will focus equally on the competitive side and the zombie-driven cooperative modes.
