Video game developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision are delivering a new trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which is designed to focus on a new character portrayed by Bruce Campbell, known from the Evil Derd franchise, as he fights off a number of undead enemies.

In the third episode of the Exo Zombies game mode, the actor plays Captain Lennox, a pilot working on a Sentinel who joins the original cast of four as they are battling on an aircraft carrier.

The official description from Sledgehammer Games states, "Our heroes are left desperate for answers after Sentinel pilot Captain Lennox executes one of their own. Before they can unravel the truth however, they must band together with their captor to survive the horrors aboard an Atlas research vessel."

The Exo Zombies mode for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare  already features solid Hollywood talent including Rose McGowan, John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, and Jon Bernthal.

Gamers can inhabit one of the characters and they need to cooperate in order to withstand the attack of the undead horde and progress.

The new chapter is included in the Supremacy downloadable content pack, which will be launched on the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 on June 2.

Gamers who get it will be able to access four new multiplayer maps and some innovative weaponry to take out their enemies with.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to get another major DLC piece

Once Supremacy is out, gamers will need to adapt their tactics for the new maps and content, and Sledgehammer Games will focus its resources on the creation and launch of the final piece of content for the shooter.

Those who play Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the PC, the PlayStation 4 or the PS3 will probably have to wait until the end of June to get access to the maps, the weapons and the new Exo Zombies episode.

The team at Treyarch and publisher Activision are now working on a new title in the franchise, called Black Ops 3, which will be introduced on November 6 of this year.

The story of the new game will be focused on the impact of robotics and augmentations on warfare and the developers want to deliver tweaks that make the core shooter mechanics more engaging and dynamic.
