The development team at Sledgehammer Games is finally giving players a look at the multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and the studio has created a new way to play the classic first-person shooter experience that's focused on the power of the exoskeleton and the maneuvers associated with it.

Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, the two leading developers working on the title, are showing the public in Cologne, Germany, a video depicting how the game plays on the Xbox One and are offering more details about the way the acrobatic element of the title is at the core of the combat.

The first thing that all players who engage with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will notice is the boosted jump, aimed by the exoskeleton, or EXO as the team calls it, which gives players the possibility to quickly reach higher ground and adds a new level of verticality to the levels.

Sledgehammer Games says that players will quickly see how the maps have been redesigned in order to allow gamers to attack each other from above and below.

The exoskeleton can also boost a dodge move that can allow them to avoid projectiles, a dash that makes them more mobile while in the air, and an entirely new Slam that allows anyone to attack from the air with a powerful melee strike that can take out enemies quickly.

At the same time, the team says that they are giving players a wide array of potential upgrades for the suit they are wearing, which will consume its battery quickly but will allow them to gain the upper hand on their enemies.

The exoskeleton in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare can allow the player to cloak from enemies and even to shoot down incoming projectiles in order to stay alive a little longer than he normally could.

Many of those who are watching the official stream have noticed that in many ways the gameplay of the title from Sledgehammer Games looks like that of Titanfall when in Pilot mode, which is interesting given the origins of the team at Respawn Entertainment.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare takes place far in the future and both the single and the multiplayer involve futuristic weapons, including 3D printing weaponry and some interesting vehicles.

Gamers will be able to pick up the title on November 4 of this year on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, last-gen consoles, and the PC.
