The development team at Sledgehammer Games working on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare says that it has locked the frame rate of the upcoming shooter at 60 FPS but that it is still working on the exact resolutions for all platforms, even though at the moment it is happy with the quality regardless of device.

Mike Mejia, a producer working on the title, tells TotalXbox that “we're still waiting for announcements to come out in terms of where we're at with the resolutions, but I can tell you that the three year development title that we've had, working with everyone involved to make sure that we're getting it right... we're still optimising the game, but even with where we're at right now, we're really happy.”

The developer says that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is at the moment more advanced in the optimization process than Call of Duty: Ghosts was last year and that in the coming months changes might be made.

Recently Microsoft has announced that it is allowing game creators to access some resources on the Xbox One that were previously reserved for the Kinect motion tracking system, which is no longer part of the core package.

Mejia adds, “All that stuff is all coming online too, as we talk to all the first-party partners that we have - we have a direct connection to those guys, so all that stuff is coming online now.”

Bungie has recently said that those extra resources were used to push the resolution of its upcoming Destiny on the Xbox One to 1080p.

When Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was first announced, the development team at Sledgehammer Games said that it would exploit the power of new console in order to create a game that would look as good on them as it did on top PC.

Recently the company has revealed that the multiplayer will include 12 modes and a variety of personalization and customization options.

The shooter is taking players to the middle of the XXI century and allows them to use a range of futuristic weapons, including a powerful exo-skeleton, a rifle that prints its own ammunition and powerful drones.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be available on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles on November 4, and pre-ordering will get fans a Day Zero edition which includes the ability to engage in multiplayer 24 hours early and get double experience to level up their character.
