It might be added for free via an update

The development team at Sledgehammer Games is already busy with the development of a new downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but it seems that the studio is also preparing a surprise for the player community and might soon introduce a new Gun Game mode for the first-person shooter.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of Michael Gondry, who is the leader of the company, and an image is used to show that the new experience will be initially associated with the Biolab map.

Gun Game was part of the previous title in the franchise, Ghosts, so it makes sense for Activision and Sledgehammer Games to also bring it to the new title.

The experience is free-for-all and asks those taking part to move through a list of weapons and score kills with them as quickly as possible.

The gamer who manages to get the kill using the final weapon in the sequence claims victory and Gun Game is loved mostly by hardcore players who want to test out their skills with the variety of weapons the shooter can offer.

For the first time in the history of Call of Duty, Sledgehammer Games has introduced energy rifles and exo-skeletons to the multiplayer and it will be interesting to see how they affect the flow of the mode when it is introduced.

The studio is not saying at the moment whether Gun Game for Advanced Warfare will be offered for free as part of a new update or if it will be introduced in one of the three coming downloadable content packs for the shooter.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will continue to get weapons and maps

The DLC schedule for the biggest selling game of 2014 has already been decided and each new pack will include the customary four new maps, each with its own unique set of elements, and a new installment in the Exo Zombies cooperative story.

New weapons will also be included for players to try out.

Adding a new mode for free on all platforms on which Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is offered would be a nice and quick way for Activision and Sledgehammer to satisfy even those community members who have no interest in picking up more DLC.
